Biography Currently residing in New York City. Living here since graduating from the School of Visual Arts with a BFA in 1975. Over the years, I continued studying at the National Academy School of Fine Arts and The Art Students League of New York. Exhibiting since 1995 in both group and solo shows. I have received several Honorable Mentions and my work has been purchased by corporate collections including Young & Rubicam Advertising.
Statement Drawing and painting is something I have always loved to do. As an artist, I work hard to develop paintings that tell a story. Making art creates an opportunity evoke emotions and feelings and to transport the viewer to another place. For the last 20+ years, I have been working with watercolors. The beauty of the medium is its luminosity and transparency. There are many subjects and themes I have been interested in over the years. For me there is great beauty in painting some battered old house or worn interior. There is a kind of tension between the way it was originally built and the way it looks now.
